spring hanger bolt hole alignment
This project is getting humorous. After all the fight to get frame rivets out, and the original hangers off, I now find that the 2 1/2" Mc Gaughy rear leaf spring hangers don't line up with the holes in the frame.
They are off about 1/8th of an inch on the bottom holes and about a quarter of an inch on the top ( wide side ). Is this the norm to have to drill ( offset ) your own holes to fit the new hanger? Thanks again for helping, the people on this site are awesome! |

Re: spring hanger bolt hole alignment
I installed a set years ago from Belltech . I think I had to place a C Clamp over the top side of the hanger and compress it a little to get everything lined up . Then put the bolts in and tighten everything .
