color problems
ok when I started doing my truck I drew up a plan for it. which is a good idea. it was going to be a dark mix between burgandy and purple for a base coat. on the front of it I was going to have flames brushed on in marroon with black centers to the flames. I have been thinking about it lately since its been to cold to do much. Im not sure I want that much purple on a 71 long bed. thats alot of purple. any ideas on painting it with the same colors? it doesnt nessecarily have to be flames. perhaps a design of somekind using the same colors. any ideas would be appreciated.
thanks, dan

I had an idea when I was looking at purple for my burb....
you could always accent with yellow striping....looks good together.... but the idea was to paint the burb purple that was as close as I could get to the color change paint (when it's purple) and then add graphics (flames or whatever) in the color change paint...so at one angle you have a ghost effect, then blam you walk a few steps and have a full contrasting color graphic.....would be really cool if you only did part in color change....so some of it always remains ghost..... But then again your asking a lunitic.... You could just (groan here it comes) paint it pink...cause pink paint makes a truck go faster....and chrome makes a engine run better.

ok anyone who thinks about pink as a color has to be a lunitic so I agree lol but then agree I cant be all there eiter after all Im thinking about going purple here. the ghost I think would be cool. the marroon and black would sort of do that anyway because the purple Im looking at has kind of a red tint to it.
