Smile disc brake exchange

Hey guys i'm new here and im working on a 69 stepside rebuild and i need help. Can you take a 1978 front end with disc brakes and unbolt it from the frame and bolt it up to a 1969 frame ?

Yes. with minor drilling, or just use the control arms if you do not want to pull the engine.....not sure about all the steering components, but it will work.

The engines are pulled on both . Just bare frames with cabs. Thanks for the information .

The steering stuff will all work....its the idler arm that may need some type of screwing around with to get it right. Im assuming both have power steering, too.

You will need to do a bit of tweaking on the brake lines to, but nothing major.
