Some times the cheap crap won't last long. It will cost you more in the end.

Got a master cylinder today. So far it looks like it will work fine.

Also ground the welds down on the hood. I still need to touch up a few areas. So far I have about 3 hrs in it.

Re: My 1965 build thread

I've used WIW thread without much luck so I will post my question here. I need to know WIW on the steering wheel and ring. The wheel has some stress cracks. And pitting on the chrome. Thanks

I guess I can go in the middle and list it for $75 + shipping thanks for the reply.

Anybody in the area going to Super Chevy Saturday June 6 in Commerce GA?

Welded a few pinholes and ground smooth. It looks better and think it will be fine. Spent another half an hour on it tonight. Which brings the total labor up to 3.5 hrs

$350 not bad for a nights work. Looks nice. Now I'm going to go do mine. I'm thinking I have about 10hrs in mine and it looks like $hit. Another 10 and it will be fine.

I hear ya brother, and thanks .

Got back from the Super Chevy Show. sdailey went with me and we had a blast. We got to meet Down South Truckin and Tim Christian there. We didn't get to spend much time with Down South, but hung out quit a bit with Tim off and on through out the day. He is really a stand up guy. He might not be the cheapest, but I think his customer service is outstanding. We stopped at Year One on the way there and saw the Bandit rendition. it was roped off so I couldn't get too close.

The 409 exibition was awesome. I could have swore the left rear tire came off of the ground when he launched.

This truck was really cool

More pics coming

It's mounted on the frame rail under the floor like the 55's used to be. Cleans it up doesn't it?

I don't have one handy. I was hoping someone might post one. I think CPP as well as others offer the kit.

Your right.

I found these headers at Super Chevy today for a good price. They are Headman 69648 fits 88-95 chevy trucks. I thought I would try them. They are very similar to the Flowtech 31505 FLT headers I was going to try. I could sell them and get my money back if the weren't close to fitting. The right side that I was concerned that wouldn't fit didn't have any issues to speak of. Once I put the gasket in it will rub the frame on one tube.

In able to make these studs work I needed to cut some more threads so I could put a nut for the headers. I also need to cut the flange off of the flange nut that is hitting the header. I also need to shorten the stud to ease installation.

The side I thought would fit has some issues. I don't know if I should grind about a 1/4" off of the frame around 3 of the tubes or not. I'm thinking of making them work. What do ya'll think?

The left header has an O2 sensor bung that is blocked off.

Here are some other things I picked up
1. Door inner/outer belt mouldings
2. Door wing window seals w/rivets and tool
3. Door glass run weatherstrip
4. Door wing window latches
5. Door O/S handles and lock cylinder not pictured
6. Jegs mini starter

I will be doing a how too on rebuilding the vent window assy once I figure it out.
