question best tank for bagged truck?????

i am looking for a gas tank right now and my hopes are to lay frame i am looking at the blazer or suburban gas tank it looks like the blazer tank would drag on the ground i also am on a budget so the CPP $500.00 aluminium fuel cell is to much i also am putting in an efi engine any suggestions would be a great help.

right now i am looking at the CPP metal blazer tank, sending unit, and straps for $245.00 shipped to the door. just want to make sure before spending the cash!!!!!!!!!

If your plan is to lay the framerails on the asphalt, you're going to have to raise the bed floor or darn near cut most of it out. If you raise the floor, you can use one of the budget (* budget for some people anyway) blazer tank swap kits but mount it higher in the frame (or on top of the frame) vs. under the frame. Raising it up should give the clearance needed.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: question best tank for bagged truck?????

is there a specific summit fuel cell that seems to be the best fit and can you get the 30 ohm sending unit for it?

Re: question best tank for bagged truck?????

Well, the Summit fuel cells are generic race-type items. Mine has a 0-90 ohm sender; I'm replacing my gauges so I bought an Autometer to match the tank. I was assuming that your weren't using the truck like a truck if you want to lay frame, so you just mount the tank in the bed. I also thought price was the biggest factor, so I think you can still get an aluminium tank for about 200 bucks.

I thought you mite be interested in considering one.
