Ive always had luck putting in the vent first, leave it loose then put in the window.

Re: help with window install 70 c10
i suspect this was being asked about a truck, even if it is a burb, the steps are the same, and you'll get a million times more traffic on the truck forum. So I'm moving it to the truck forum instead of the burb one.

Re: help with window install 70 c10
Put the window in first, roll it down, slide the window all the way towards the latch end of the door, remove the back track on the inside of the door, put the vent in,you will probably have to twist it around a bit, put it in place with a couple of screws, roll the window up while pushing it forward in the vent track, re-install the back track thru the door, tighten all the rest of the screws.Good luck

I agree with bigsnookmaster. That is how I did it. There is a good write up in the FAQ's on this as well. It can take time if you have never done it before but just be patient with it.
