auto meter speedo

where did u guys get your speedo cable for your trucks . i have all the guages but i still need a speedo cable for the autometer sppedo

there's a great place in Arlington that is a dedicated speedo shop. It's close to Napa (on Abram) , but the next street south.

I believe it's called Arligton Speedo Shop. (not 100% sure)

Great price though.

When you guys install a speedo do you have to change the gear thats in the tranny to match it since usally the one in the tranny is for the stock speedometer. if i remeber right they come in different colors.

I got one at NAPA for mine. It was number 6151603.

Oh, and no, you don't have to change the speedo gears in the tranny when you change a speedo. Only time you need to change these is when you make tire size changes or rear gears. The Autometer speedo works like a charm with the tranny speedo gears.

the autometer speedo has a screw in speedo cable . my factory had a slip on . i could not find a way to keep it on for long term .i do not want to take thos apart no time so after i put it together . lol . did your factory have the screw in type . my truck is a 84 swb .
