Oops, I forgot to ask: On those door handle weld-ups, did you use a sheet metal plug or did you do the little-by-little built up weld to close them? I'm wondering if a hole that large can be filled that way without heat induced warp? Sorry for all the questions. "Enquiring minds want to know!"

I am going to use pop door solenoids. And yes it will have a manual release cable. I have no need to lock it up. I will probably never leave it parked alone. And it will have an alarm that will go off if the door is opened without being disarmed. I welded small pieces of metal to fill the door openings.
