What's worth keeping from this cab before I scrap it?
There's a decent dash left with only some slight surface rust, although the radio hole has been a little "customized". There is a gas tank although inside condition is unknown. Big hump tranny cover is also there. The cracked steering wheel (not a Custom wheel) and original '63 column are still there. And a small back glass.
So, is any of this worth keeping to sell before I scrap the cab? The cab has a big dent on the inside and outside roof including the rear drip rail. I don't think it'll come out easily so it's probably not worth keeping as an eyesore in my yard til it would sell (probably never, lol). I've already pulled everything else out of the cab. What I listed in the first paragraph is all that's left that MAY be worth anything. But, I don't know. And out of the stuff you say I should keep, how much is it worth? Thanks in advance for the help.

Iwould keep the column, it will be good for parts if you need 'em, and dosent take much room.
somebody on the hamb might like that dash-the double humps are kinda custom looking-but other than that its probably done. |

The hump cover might be worth keeping. I think people look for them but it might be a small hump they look for. Anyone?

Re: What's worth keeping from this cab before I scrap it?
My truck has a tilt column. So it's of no use to me. I figured I'd just cut out the dash and call it good. The part above the windshield on this cab ended up having holes under the rubber. That was one of the reasons I got this, it looked good from the outside. So that didn't do me any favors. But I got an excellent windhsield and a good fender out of the deal. And I got some good parts to pass on to folks to get trucks on the road.

That would be easy enough to pull out before I go to the scrapper in the morning. It's only a few easy to reach bolts.

Re: What's worth keeping from this cab before I scrap it?
Negative. It was a manual. The high hump has two holes, one for a shifter and one for a PTO. But, it's not hacked up, it's all factory. This truck used to be a tow truck or flatbed C-30.

I'm looking for some patch panels around the passenger side of the windshield and near passenger door mounts. PM me if they are worthy of cutting out and selling.....
Thanks in advance.

Post a pic with the area you need circled and I'll check the cab. I can't let this turn into a 'for sale' thread though. I'm still not a paid member....yet. I'm sending my money off tomorrow.

I would keep both of those if you have room.
