Re: I wanna see your Daily Drivers

The 68 is the toy. It just got taken off of the stands yesterday from a 4 month rest as I was swapping over to 5 lug as I found time. The work van I call Hulk is what I drive to and from and all around every day for work. The Mazda is the wife's car. If we go anywhere it's in it, plus it's about to be paid off!

Re: I wanna see your Daily Drivers

usually it's the 1978 K10 4x4 4spd 355 ...

OR ... i drive THE BATTLESHIP ... dun dun dun ... just kidding ... 1999 Ford Taurus wagon ... i bought it for my sister for graduation ... gotta keep a secret for a year ... i figured i bought it, i'll drive it, it's got a/c ... lol ...

or sometimes i'll feel like something different and choose to drive the 1990 Toyota 4Runner ... or if it wasn't still in the body shop after 78 days, the 1997 Lexus ES300 ... i hit a deer, it screwed with the ABS and they still can't figure it out ...

and THAT is why i drive the chevy ... its not complicated ...

Re: I wanna see your Daily Drivers

I drive her every day even tho it's mainly in town, with highway driving limited to 150 miles or less round trip. I threw the engine together without a thought about fuel economy, but at 65 mph @ 3000 rpm, I can still get a best of 10 mpg on my little jaunts. 671 blown and injected 383, TH400 w/brake, 4.88 rear, 31x18.5R15L Hoosier Pro-Street Radials on 15x14 Convo-Pro wheels.

fiddy9, I really like that white shortwide...but then, I'm biased, lol. The hoe is tough looking, too, are those boss 335s? And I'll hold my tongue about that third thing, the one with the blue oval on it...

Current DD, my '69 C10:

Soon as it gets sold, I'm replacing it with a slant 6 '68 Dodge Dart. Better fuel economy...but it's still not a truck.

More pics of the 63 tempest. Haven't seen another one since I've owned it. Even at one of the biggest car shows in the midwest the Goodguys Heartland Nationals.
