starter solenoid
does anyone have the wiring diagram or know the porcedure for wiring in one of those other solenoids (f#%d) thanks kc

The remote solenoid has two large terminals. One cable from the battery to either one, and a cable from the other to the starter. They usually have two small posts also, but you only need to run the keyed power to one of them to engage the solenoid. Can't remember which one, but run a small wire from the battery post to each of them, one at a time, after the main cables are on, and you will know very quickly which one to key up.

it will be the one with an "S" on it. Don't forget to jumper the solenoid on the starter also.

Just like they said. battery pos cable to solenoid, then cable from solenoid to starter. Jumper wire from starter + post to the S post on your chev starter(remove purple wire that was there). Purple wire will now connect to the ford solenoid at the S terminal. If you are running points instead of HEI you can run the yellow coil wire to the R terminal of the Ford solenoid or keep it on the Chev solenoid. They both do the same thing.
