U joint straps
When loading my truck on the trailer, I jumped in and hit the clutch and put it into gear since there were no brakes. Of course not thinking that is a hydralic clutch and wouldnt work after the years of setting. Anyway I drop it into gear while my buddy was still cranking on the winch I hear a pop and the driveshaft drops to the ground. After looking at it closer it looks as if there were no bolts in the holes on the yoke in the first place. I cant pull the driveshaft off so I am assuming someone tried to take it out at some point and couldnt get it slid forward to drop it. What other vehicles would have the same U joint straps and bolts? If there is something I have or I can find in my bosses lot I could get some for free, just need to know what if any others will work.

Re: U joint straps
You can get them from your local parts house just measure the holes and the u-joint cap size. I got all mine for a 66 4x4 about 4 bucks a set

Re: U joint straps
Our local shop sucks, tiny little town. I had trouble finding u joints and severeal other parts for my 71 GMC. Hour drive to a good parts shop. But I will check next time there.
