Pre Bent Brake Lines
I am trying to find Pre Bent Brake Lines for my 50 truck that has front and rear disc brakes

Bend and flare your own. Line is cheap at NAPA, comes pre- flared with male connectors in various length. Use female couplings(I only ended up with one in line joint). Just make sure you buy a good commercial quality bender, the cheap auto part store ones will knink the line. If you are in a city with a tubing specialty house (or place that does hydralics for tractors, etc.) they have the line in up to 20' lengths, a little harder to thread through the frame but eliminates the couplings. I did my truck in one day, used old coat hangers to template the lines and bends, hardest was from the passenger front across the front cross member to keep it tight to the frame. I did my fuel lines too. Posts 29 and 39 in my build thread show bits and pieces of the lines. I used Russell braided hoses to replace the rubber ones.
I got my Imperial flaring tool at an estate sale for $20, paid about $25 for the bender tool, and probably had about $30-40 in pipe and fittings.

Most suppliers sell the pre-bent ones (e.g. Classic Performance Parts, LMC, etc). But I also assume you've changed your master cylinder and installed a different booster etc? If so chances are you'll most likely have to have residual pressure valves, proportioning valves inline. The stainless kits are super expensive, the plain kits still run close to $200 (plus usually oversized shipping expense). OrrieG's advice is bang on the money:buy the lines and DIY.
I wasted close to $400 on buying the pre-bent SS ones only to find I had to spend more time "fixing" them to make them fit than it was worth. I ended up redoing the entire line with a few $20 sections from my local autopart store. |
