My 77 k10 Longbed

Took a few pictures of the truck this morning after putting my 37's on and figured i'd whore it up a little bit since i havent posted any on this website yet.

Its a 77 k10 with a 4" lift and some really bald 37x13.50 mickey thompson baja claws, The tires are only temporary until i can find some better ones and afford them. Im going to have "Clearance" the fenders a little bit for the tires I bought the truck for $500 a few months ago under the impression that the engine had a burnt valve because of a bad miss and the drivers side back two header bolts missing. I drove it 10 miles home and later took the valve covers off to find two rocker arms completely off of the valves and just hanging on the rocker studs. I also found that it had compcams roller rockers, a cam(dont know what the numbers are), edelbrock performer intake, and edelbrock chrome valve covers. I replaced all of the rocker arm adjuster nuts and went through and adjusted the valves and it runs absolutely great. I had to put a heater core into it since then and it needs some steering wear items replaced but i cant complain for a $500 truck that was even driveable at the time. I replaced the rotted and falling apart on the inside "Turbo King" mufflers with a set of Summit Race mufflers(flowmaster 40 series knockoffs) also.

Anyways heres a few pictures...

thanks guys!

I really like the looks of the wheels too, I think they go really good with this body style of truck. So far everyone except for my girlfriend has complemented them lol.

Re: My 77 k10 Longbed

The hood was like that when i bought it, I think it was the combination of the hood hinges not being lubed and the hood not being shut correctly.

That is a very common thing with these trucks. It just so happens that there is a small indentation in the structural ribs, just in front of the hood hinges.....and that's where the kink happens.
Like rennat_2006 said, lack of lubrication makes the hinges stiffer than the metal can stand.
