Re: engine pictures inside
Wonder if the '454' could be centered to match the Chevy at the rear???? I like it either way, really.

Hahah! "Mighty big valve covers, for a 350," says the onlooker, scratching his head.

Re: engine pictures inside
What about painting the 454 to match the truck and leaving them on?

Re: engine pictures inside
Yeah - with the numbers is better.
No substitute for cubic inches - show it proudly. Mac.

Re: engine pictures inside
I say without, mainly because the red kinda seems out of place. If you could somehow paint the numbers blue to match the block, that would look pretty sweet.

Re: engine pictures inside
The tall covers won't fit with the way I am mounting the engine. I do like those though. I was thinking of going with these wires.

Re: engine pictures inside
I used the red ones with red cap. If you're running headers, you might want some 135-degree plug boots - neatly solved the clearance problem on my 454 (used a couple of the 90-degree also on the passenger side); JEGS and Summit sell the 135s, around $30, but cheaper than frying expensive wires
