how much would I expect to fork out for a dropmember kit?

What up every1! I have a 63 with a 71 front crossmember and rearend off the same truck. I did this back in like 2000 in order to get the 5 lug pattern and front discs. Its lowered okay with dropped spindles, coils, and blocks and coils in back, (4.5" & 6"). The thing is that I now want to slam it with some bags! I want to get a dropmember to gain clearance and get it as low as I can in front and a new crossmember and trailing arms for the rear with a descent c-notch. Now I've got a family, house, kids and all so money is hard to save you know. So if some1 can guide me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it! Thanx fellas!

Re: how much would I expect to fork out for a dropmember kit?

I bought my C-Notch kit off eBay (Was sold by CPP) for $90.

I bought my drop crossmember and trailing arms from ECE, they have a combo deal for $649. I would save the $430+ and not buy the trailing arms tho unless you really need them. Mine were pretty beat.

eBay has the best deals on the drop crossmembers too, you should be able to grab one for about $180.

Good luck!

Re: how much would I expect to fork out for a dropmember kit?

I am parting it all out now, it is getting close to 1600 with the rack - pinion.

Here is what I am going for: http://www.*****************/-63-87-f...rossmember-kit

Rack and Pinion http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SU...3/?image=large

I am going to keep my 71 control arms and mod them.. Let me know if there a cheaper way

It's easiest to as the man himself . . .....
http://www.porterbuiltstreetrods.com/products.php.

E-mail him, send him a PM here through the board, or for a faster response, give him a call. Sometimes, there are Dropmembers available new/used in the classifieds. Check both the 67-72 & 60-66 sections.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
