Man that's a cool heavy duty truck. Are you going to bag it, and lay frame.
Lets see a photo shop of it.

Re: look at my new tow hauler!
1) wash it
2) paint the bed black, maybe paint the cab. I kinda like the patina as is. 3) tow whatever I want with it. I'm a self employed mobile mechanic, i also buy, fix, and sell cars. Basically I don't want to beat up my grandpas super nice 1979 f250 anymore and I'm tired of my tow dolly. So I bought this to make into a mobile work shop/hauler. Imagine all the tools you could need. onboard air, welder, and whatever else I can think of. The truck has a gvw of 20,000 pounds, hydraulic brakes, and 2-speed rear. I paid $241.00 dollars for it. I think I got a deal.

Re: look at my new tow hauler!
Exactly 25ft 8 inches. I've got a 1979 supercab long bed ford 3/4 ton. I wanted to be able to fit that on this. It's about 22ft.

Re: look at my new tow hauler!
Yeah that'll haul what you need.
Has the frame been streatched, or is it original? I assume it has a V6, do you know which one yet?

Re: look at my new tow hauler!
I haven't found any evidence of the frame being stretched...yet. It is a v6...I haven't found any info on identifying the engine, so I am unsure of what is its. I've seen a 305 v6 before from what i remember and it was smaller than this engine. I was also told that the 351 was externally the same as the 305 which leads me to believe its something bigger. the guy I bought it from said it was a "468 or around there" But i can't verify that or anything. I haven't found much info other than the stovebolt.com forum.

I put a battery in it and cranked it over today. No power to the coil though.

Re: look at my new tow hauler!
Not to doubt your intelligence, but are you sure that is a 305? I think the big haulers like that normally came with the 351 or 401....It should be stamped in front of the pass side cylinder head.
