Mine is a 60/40 split bench from a 98 Silverado, but I imagine the mounts are similar. I made an adapter from steel plate to mount mine so I wouldn't have to drill new holes in my floor. One thing that helped them fit easier was to bend the front mounting tab back. As it is, it is forward of the seat. I found I could bend it back under the seat and still get a bolt through it. It keeps the tab from sticking out where your foot would be.

Everything is bolted; there's no welding involved. I just measured and drilled carefully and I think I made the holes in the steel plate 1/16 oversize so I'd have a little bit of room for adjustment.

The Silverado seats are about an inch taller, but I actually like the driving position better.

I haven't hooked the lumbar support up, just because I haven't gotten around to it, but it wouldn't be a really difficult project.

Re: need help! silverado seats in a blazer

I put in a set from an early 2000's Silverado. I reused the front inner holes on both sides, and used them as a baseline which allowed me to slide back all the way on the new tracks, and recline without issues. I believe (will have to double check) that I drilled out all the other holes. The front outer holes were tricky because you have the rocker boxes to contend with. You can remove the covers in the front and access a nut with an oversize washer or plate on the underside for support. The rears were a little trickier, because the position of the holes were right next to a step in the cab. I used longer bolts, and welded a nut to a piece of thick walled tubing (maybe 3/4" OD) to act as a crush sleeve that brings the bottom surface of the tube even with the step in the cab. I'll have to see if I can get under there to take a picture, I can't remember off hand what kind of visibility I have under there.

When putting in new seats do you lose the ability to lean the passenger seat forward?? If so how do you over come this?

My seat is out of a 98 Silverado extended cab that didn't have a third door, so it tilts and slides on the factory mounts that were in the Silverado. I specifically picked it for that reason.

You have to find seats that tilt or slide forward far enough if you want that functionality on the new ones.
