Wrong motor perches??
I bought some V8 motor perches from a member here a while back...I go to put them in and set the motor on them and they are not matching up...Thinking maybe the engine is not original maybe 75' instead of 72'...Does this make sense and would this cause them not to match up?? Can I take the block number to find out exactly what year I am working with? If so, best place to do it?

Re: Wrong motor perches??
The engine shouldn't matter. Post some pictures of what you think the problem is.

Re: Wrong motor perches??
It sounds like you have the mounts in either the forward position or rear position but you want them in the opposite.
Take a look at a stock 4x4 and a stock 2wd. The engine on the stock 4x4 hugs the firewall, while the engine on the stock 2wd is a couple inches from the firewall. Both utilize the same mounts, just in different positions on the frame. It sounds like your motor mounts are simply in the wrong position.
