Need help: '91 S-10 4in cowl hood

Shop told me $425 for a Hardwood 4in lift off cowl hood. I need one badly because I can't run a breather with the stock hood. I see Hardwood has them for $335, but what's their shipping? I couldn't find it. Is there a cheaper place or a better hood out there? I need to purchase soon.

Have you called summit or jegs to see what there shipping would be? Unfortunatly its such a large item, it needs to be shipped by truck.

Are there any local speed shops that can get you a deal on shipping? The shopped i worked at years ago was great because the whare house we pulled from (Keystone in PA) had a big box truck that delivered to small shops like ours all over the state, thus no extra shipping on large items. That helped me to sell alot of large, bulky and heavy items (hoods, engine lifts, roll bar kits, etc.) just a thought for ya....

The shop that can get me the 4in Hardwood glass hood was $425, free shipping, so $425 plus 9.25 tax out the door. Hardwood site was $335 plus whatever shipping is. I guess I'll have to call to find out what shipping is.

Summit was also $335, same as Hardwood website, and $89-99 shipping, so like $435 to me. I think after the speedshops taxes here in town I'll just have it shipped from one of the websites.

Jegs has a blemished 6in cowl for $302 and $119 shipping. I don't need one that massive but I like how it goes back to the windshield and a 4in stops before the wiper cowl.
