Just lowered the blazer

the blazer was already lowered when i got it. looks like someone cut the springs maybe 1.25 coils off. so today i cut 3/4 of a coil off. it dropped it exactly 1 inch. now, the the of the front fender lip is exactly 25" off the ground. if i recall, that stock measurement should be around 30-32" so very significant drop on the front end. the front springs are about as long as a water bottle now! tires are cooper cobras 255/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear on 15x10 and 15x8.5 rally

Re: Just lowered the blazer

im thinkin about going with flat black or a beige color for paint. what do you guys like to use for primer? color and brand? anything will look better than it does now. also im going to put in some leather tahoe buckets, new black console, new black carpet, and a new dash pad and guage bezel.

Re: Just lowered the blazer

Love the look of your Blazer. Every now and then I see one that makes me think that I should have gotten one instead of my truck. And yours did that for me. Great stance!

As far as color...please for the sake of 98% of painter's sanity...don't do flat black! Flat any color but black sure. But please no more flat black. It just looks cheap and has really lost its "cool factor" now that it is everywhere. I think your rig would look great in a Gray color. Nice gloss over a gray non metallic simple color. Leave the top white, and maybe to the wheels white to match. That is my opinion, you asked.

Re: Just lowered the blazer

Shaun-the truck looks awesome. I'd drive the crap out of it just like it is. Navy blue always looks good on a square.

Re: Just lowered the blazer

think im going with flat red. its my favorite color. keeping the rims black but i may switch them with my 92 shortbed stepside chevy and throw the centerline dragstars on the blazer-not sure yet. i need a new interior-dash pad, panels, headliner, carpet etc....the interior is original 1979 and it sucks lol

Re: Just lowered the blazer

flat red.....very cool. What shade/color red are you going with? I ask because that's my color idea for my '82 C-10 build. I've thought something just basic red or even a darker maroon type flat red too.

That's one good lookin' truck!

This is the stance I'd like to achieve. I've got spindles from my old Blazer and springs, so that should get me as low on the front end. Unfortunately I wasn't able to salvage the shackle kit from that Blazer.

How should/can I go about dropping the rear from stock without flipping the rear axle as I don't want to C it?

Tight truck!

great stance. I really like the flat red, and seems that no one has it really compared to black.
