CPP or ECE??????????
Is there a difference or are both companies products the same? I am looking at the 69 SWB frame in the sales forum but wanted to make sure company was not better than the other. I was planning on using ECE stuff on my truck but if the products are the same it dosent matter.
Thanks.

Re: CPP or ECE??????????
Thanks guys. I am not so much worried about the customer service since the guy selling the frame has already bought the stuff. I am mainly concerned about the quality of the products. Heres the link to the sale.

Re: CPP or ECE??????????
There are literally countless stories on this board by folks who got poor service from CPP. Missing parts, wrong parts, slow shipping, it goes on and on. ECE, super service. I've been using them since the mid 90s. Very satisfied every time. You don't hear many/ any stories of ECE poor service.

Re: CPP or ECE??????????
Since that set-up was already assembled, I definitely would have no qualms using CPP's stuff.
Since you didn't get it & might be in the market for parts, ECE definitely has much better customer service. I will only use CPP as a last resort.

Re: CPP or ECE??????????
I have spent upwards of $6k on parts from CPP, had some shipping issues a couple times with some back ordered parts but part quality is good.

Re: CPP or ECE??????????
As a side note, there's two schools of thought on trailing arms. ECE box, and CPP tubular. I have ECE on my '66 C10 and CPP on my '79 C10 (trailing arm conversion kit). Haven't had a lick of trouble with either style. Both companies put out good products... that's my two-cents.

I'm also interested in the 73-87 "trailing arm conversion". The 3rd source for "aftermarket" trailing arms is now Porterbuilt Street Rods!

Re: CPP or ECE??????????
The '79 Big 10 C10 I threw together for Rod & Custom's Americruise was the prototype for CPP's '73-87 trailing arm conversion kit. When I get back from SEMA I'll have more time to post, but in the meantime, please Google Custom Classic Trucks John Gilbert CPP Americruise trailing arms, and a ton of info will come up.
