Question about Blazer manual tailgate crank

These things are plentiful on ebay for around $25 and listed to fit 73-91. In the Classic Parts catalog, they only list a complete new manual crank for 73-78. For 79-91 they list the handle only.

The handle is gone off mine so I could get by with just a handle replacement. But what's left has pitting, so I'd rather replace the whole thing. So I'm not sure who to trust. Does anyone know the scoop on these rear window cranks?

Thanks.

Re: Question about Blazer manual tailgate crank

I have a 75 blazer and i too have a manual crank as well. On LMC they list the manula crank to fit 73-89. I know that 73-75 blazers have some diff parts due to the full removeable top but other than that alot is interchangeable. I dont see why it wouldnt fit. Hope this helps take care

Re: Question about Blazer manual tailgate crank

Thanks, Sky.

I have an LMC catalog around here somewhere, but I've quit looking at it as my "go to" source since their prices seem to be higher than anyone else, including the dealership.

I'll find it and look. I guess I need to make time to call Classic Parts and see why they're going against the grain on this. If anyone knows, I'd really appreciate the rest of the story.

Thanks.
