Looking for a rebuidable Quadrajet!!!

I'm looking to buy an old quadrajet to rebuild. Preferably with electric choke and mechanical secondaries for a standard tranny. No smog equipment necessary

carb

rusty, The problem with finding any pre emissions QJ will not have elect. choke. I think the trucks went to that in about 1982?
If you find an elect choke model what ever money you spend on it don't forget to put a new thermostatic coil in the choke housing, sometimes the housing is riveted and will need to be drilled out then use screws. the coil gets bad and the choke will not work properly or at all and then everyone says the QJ's are junk :-(. don't even consider NOT putting a new float in it for $10 . you can also find out from specialist how to cure the internal well leakage. I do a have few I can sell. the 2 used ones came from good running engines but have been sitting .
1973 truck 350 , stove choke $35
1982 truck 305,350, elect choke. $35
1978ish cadillac ,elect choke, 800CFM, brand new carb from GM. $215
1978ish cadillac, 800CFM ,remanufactured by Holley . no choke on it but accepts elect choke. still shrink wrapped . Holley supposedly fixes some of the chaaracteristic internal problems of the QJ. $215 .
since we are 3000 miles apart shipping would be $15 probably .

I've owned several Q-jets so there is no way I would ever say there junk!!! I've had more problems with Holley's than q-jets and some say that's due to not know how to tune it right, but (before they came out with a one way check valve) once a holly backfires their junk. I know folks are going to post a bunch of opinions about q-jets and holleys, but please don't I'm just looking for a carb not a debate on what's best. Crossy that 1973 350 stove choke sounds good do you have the numbers off of that one? Thanks, Rusty

i take the 82 model if you ship. i got an 84 model but it has been beat up and i don't trust it completely. the electric choke has 2 of the three ears broken off to boot.
