He advertised in San Diego also. Not the same exact add, but the same info about coming out to pick up a 'burb.

Re: Craig's List Ad, Dallas, TX and Los Angeles
I am the guy that has the posts on craigslist. I have bought a 66 burb out in L.A and I am going out there to pick it up. I have about 50 trucks and suburbans in my collection, but I am selling some of them to get my collection down to about 14-20 total trucks. Hence, thats why I am posting ads on craigslist to sell some of them. The reason why I post ads in different cities, is so people that need parts for 60-66 parts, have the opportunity to get them. 3 weeks ago I had a empty trailer going to L A, and now I sold a 4x4 long bed truck, 3 short fleet beds, and numerous other parts since posting out there. And as a bonus, I am planning on going to one of the swap meets while I am out there. Get to see some different swap meets and look for more treasures for my trucks. Not to mention, we like to talk and meet new people that share the same passion for these old trucks as we do.
I think the only reason people flag ads, is because they have the same parts they need to sell or just flat out being mean. I like it, because I just repost the ads and the ads go back to the top of the list. This is the new ad ID # 1470188798 Last edited by dj-66; 11-17-2009 at 08:57 PM. |

I have to confess- I've seen your ad on the Inland Empire CL the last couple of months and lusted after a number of those trucks.

Re: Craig's List Ad, Dallas, TX and Los Angeles
dj, why don't you become a "site supporter" and post your stuff on this board?

Re: Craig's List Ad, Dallas, TX and Los Angeles
Prob because he has so much stuff, it would require 'vendor' status vs. Craigslist. 'Site supporter' status is ok for the guy trying to sell off some occassional, un-used parts.
