need advice on 53 chevy pickup
does anyone know if a 1989 gta tras am motor trans rearend and frontend will work under my 53 half ton chevy pickup im a newbee and i have achance to get one pretty cheep any help would be great. Thanks:

as most people will tell you - anything will fit with enough fab work. Measure the track width, measure the distance between frame rails - then make your decision.
If they're close - go for it. I haven't heard of this combo, but that doesn't mean it wont work. The motor will work, as any motor you put in with a grafted front clip will require custom motor mounts. As far as the rear end goes - again, measure the width and the rest is custom fab work... |

The front end won't work, but the rest will. They stopped using a subframe in 1981, so if you want Camaro front end go with 1967-1981, but there are other options.

Thanks pdw i really dont need to have a camero frontend just hoped i could use it because im buying the whole car . oh well ill find something. Thanks any ideas on my build will be helpful.

1978-1987 Chevy Malibu works very well, 1968-1979 Nova works good too. There are others that work also, but these are easy to find, and don't cost to much.
