Forgotten.........
..........one of those, "I won't sell cause I wanna fix it up one day" situations. 25 years later it's being given away:

I agree, nice artwork - too bad for the truck it wasn't given away before it started returning to the earth.

Re: Forgotten.........
I have found one of those that is setting under a shead that if I ever get the guy pried off it yall will be drooling. I hit him up about once every month or so. His granddad bought it new and says he is going to fix it up. Its been there for at least 15 years.

Re: Forgotten.........
Show him the pic above and tell him this is where his is headed shortly so he'd be smart to let it go now before it's too late

Re: Forgotten.........
We see this in this farm/ranch area often, and I have been guilty myself.
Many times the car/truck, combine, whatever will still be running, but worn. Better is bought, the old will be parked in pasture. (might need it sometime). 20-50 yrs later, still there. There's been tons and tons crushed the past few years since iron prices improved. We do find interesting stuff sometimes and do our best to get them advertised and in peoples hands who can use them. Old Folks will pass away, kids no longer care for the farm and don't live there, so will donate the "junk" to the museum if they will haul it away and they can sell the farm. Long winded post, for sure, but a couple of us volunteers were talking a few days ago about this same thing. But just no way to save it all. So, in the crusher it goes. Kinda' sad. Museum gets all proceeds, tho, to help save a few. Cayoterun

Re: Forgotten.........
Please go ahead with a drawing. It's technically not mine yet but even if it was I'd have no issue. I look forward to seeing the finished drawing. Send your e-mail to doug@madmaxcar.com and I'll forward some more pics so you can see if there's another angle you may like.
