I plan on getting a set to replace the generic adjustable ones on my car now.

I have heard good things about the Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks but have never used them myself.
i was thinking more of a coil over shock something that would hold the weight with the leafs gone?

I ran these on my 70 Chevelle and was very impressed with them. Not cheap but very nice.

Re: 4 link !

If you like this setup and want the bars on the inside, just swap the front brackets so the origninal left front bracket is on the inside of the right framrail and vise-versa. Just box in the frame rail (after you weld the nuts on the backsides of the holes)and weld the bars inside the fraimrail. If your lower shock mounts are too close then you could weld in new lower mounts if it is a problem.
