Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC

I've got to figure out where to do that on here! I've got a couple of pics and will have stills from my video this week so I'll have a lot of good shots then.

Wow! That truck is super clean!! If I had to go back and pick out my first vehicle again...I could only dream of it being as nice as that. And might I add that you have a angelic voice. Its not every day that someone discovers such talent within themselves at that age.

I definetely look forward to seeing some photos of your baby. What do you want to do with it in the over all picture? What needs fixing or just plain changed to your liking?

Welcome aboard, information is abundant and friendship is overwhelming so make yourself at home and enjoy the ride (figurativly and in reality).

Keep on Truckin and singing!

Todd

It's got a little rust here and there, gotta fix that. I don't really want it to look all new. I have to replace the windsheild and the window roller upper things and I have to have air conditioning. i'm going to have to play lots off shows to make enouggh tip money to get it just right but, I've got a good start!

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC

Haha! It is a tuff business but, I'm a tuff kid! The video was a blast to make and I'm proud of it so, thanks! James Slater wrote the song and I was honored to have the chance to record it. There were lots of Vets in the room that night including WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and both Gulf wars. The soldier in the video is on active duty right now in Afghanistan and is a fan so, it was so nice to catch him on leave so he could be in it. He'd been following my music online and that was actually the first time I got to meet him. Fine all American guy - makes me proud!

Glad you like my little pickup! I've been plugging away at getting it running. That was the first day we cranked it up and also the first time I ever tried to drive in my life- what a trip!
Thanks more than you can imagine for the support!
love & respect-
Stormy

I stand corrected Ya know though, a guy looks at a vehcle as a tool, for me, it's more like a rolling purse. This thng just has a big old door with an empty hole where the glovebox was. Gotta have a place for stuff. Do you think I can you buy the guts to a glovebox? (Since you understand my not-so-technical terminology)haha!

I need seatbelts, too. I dont want to screw up the way it looks now with crap all bolted to the seat or something. And, I kind want to find somebody that can make me a gunrack but take it apart and fix it where I can use it for my guitar. I'm all about cosmetic stuff right now. But let me just say, David Atnip has done a great job on all the mechanical issues. Brakes are stiff, steering is not real easy. I'm going to have to deal with all that before actually trying to drive it for more than a video shoot.

Re: Stormy Montana and her 1969 GMC

hey stormy, here's your glove box from lmc $12. 95 http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=47 surf around while your there and you'll find seatbelts and power steering parts also. Our trucks are very popular and every part you need is available.
I have a friend who went to nashville to be a country singer 30 years ago. Last time i saw her she was in the final scene of castaway with tom hanks....and the last time i heard her she was singing a duet with toby keith....you never know where life will lead.

Thanks so much! I've been pretty lucky on the truck finding you guys. i've already found some little things I needed. Now, if I can just get a chance to learn to drive.Haha! Looks like I kinda knew in the video but trust me, I honestly didn't know the gas from the brake. When the director told me to pull up and get my things and get out, I didn't even put it in park. Oh well... I've had so much fun fixing it up and it was just what I wanted! Check out these "bloopers"

Nice truck. You need to drive it up to Jamboree in the Hills this July and see if they'll let you sing.
