si alguien me ayuda con la traducción se los agradeceria, pues les comento que desde antes que naciera mi abuelo ya tenia una y pues la historia es mas o menos así, las camionetas se importaban de estados unidos pero sin caja las cajas las armaban en mexico en el estado de monterrey hubo fabricación de cajas largas y cortas, el tablero solo se componia de tres instrumentos. la diferencia es que el velocimetro viene en kilometros y las camionetas de EEUU vienen en millas al igual el medidor de kilometraje marca millas en lugar de kilometros. generador= a la carga de la bateria, temperatura marca temperatura frenos marca el liquido de frenos que tiene el contenedor. yo que sepa todas las camionetas mexicanas solo fueron estandar y automaticas solo las de EEUU, y de 6 cilindros la mayoria fueron con motor 292 y pocas 250. saludos desde Querétaro México.

The cargo beds were assembled in the state of Monterrey and they fabricated both long and short beds. The dash consisted of a gauge cluster of only three gauges. la diferencia es que el velocimetro viene en kilometros y las camionetas de EEUU vienen en millas al igual el medidor de kilometraje marca millas en lugar de kilometros. The difference is that the speedometer is in kilometers whereas the USA-spec trucks come with MPH speedos. Also the odometer is in KMs versus MPH. generador= a la carga de la bateria, temperatura marca temperatura frenos marca el liquido de frenos que tiene el contenedor. Generator=charges the battery, Temperature gauge measures water temperature and the brake marks the brake fluid level. yo que sepa todas las camionetas mexicanas solo fueron estandar y automaticas solo las de EEUU, y de 6 cilindros la mayoria fueron con motor 292 y pocas 250. As far as I know all of the mexican trucks were manual gearboxes whereas the USA-imported trucks were automatics. The majority of the six cylinder engines were 292s, and only a few were 250s. saludos desde Querétaro México. Now this is not a direct translation but it gives you the idea of what is being conveyed. Now the brake light (at least in USA spec trucks) is a brake failure light, not a low brake fluid level light. |

I was born and raised in South Texas and spent a lot of time in Mexico as a boy and later working in Reynosa, Matamoros and Montarey. The 67-72 and well into the 80s fleetside beds had "DINA" stamped into the tailgates instead of "CHEVROLET" and they also used the chain latches just like the stepsides. You can see the latches on his fleetside and I wonder the CHEVROLET almost looks stickers. It would make the truck even more of an oddity in the U.S. if DINA in embosed into it.
