center cap size question(aftermarket push thru style)

Guys will a center cap that's 4.250 fit a wheel with a center hole of 4.280? Without pulling thru or whatever?

I ask because I'm looking into some us wheel chrome star 16x8's for my 88 k1500 and they have a 4.280 center bore and the caps are 4.280 also but I like the cragar caps or others which are 4.250 and not .280.

I'm thinking they'd work aint much difference but not sure.

Re: center cap size question(aftermarket push thru style)

.030" is only going to be a problem if the "lip" that holds it is smaller than that. Somehow I think it will be fine.

Support our troops, stand behind 'em or get in front of 'em.

What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?

That's what i was thinking they usually have a lil' less then 1/4 lip or around 1/8 lip just wondered if it be just a tad too small.
