My headlight reminder buzzer
While I was doing some adjustments to my gas pedal today, I took a pic and a video of the one I made. I figured after our discussion about buzzers, some of you might want to see this in action.
It is a simple piezo buzzer from Radio Shack, p/n 273-059, $3.49 and a basic Bosch 30A relay. Here is the wiring diagram used: I mounted it right above the drivers side kick panel. The buzzer is stuck to the relay with some 3M double sided adhesive tape: Here it is in action:

Re: My headlight reminder buzzer
Wow, it sounds really loud in the video, but it's not as ear piercing as it sounds! It's about as loud as any other reminder buzzer.

Re: My headlight reminder buzzer
Lol! This one wasn't my idea, I found that schematic while searching for the right kind of buzzer to use.

Re: My headlight reminder buzzer
Sweet! Could you post a pic of your fuse box to see where that plugs in to? My fuse box is out of an 87, so it's probably different than yours.

Re: My headlight reminder buzzer
It's cheap and really easy to do. An if there is a spot on all 73-87 fuse blocks like ont_guy_38 mentioned, that makes it even easier!

Re: My headlight reminder buzzer
Dang, maybe my Honda (200k mile, $50 purchase, $500 total investment) has a spot for one. That would be helpful, since I tend to leave those ones on.
Sorry, had to defend my Honda there.

I got mine from JC Whitney for $5 or so, it was a simple two-wire hook up.

Re: My headlight reminder buzzer
They have gone up considerably since then it looks like Bruiser. The only one I can find from JCWhitney is $14.99, and with shipping it comes to $21.98!!
