Re: Heater problems
I replaced two thermostats in a 4.3l V6 due to heat probs, didn't fix a thing. Repaired the broken cable end and heat would run you out!!!!!

Re: Heater problems
Attack this issue 1 step at a time. Check coolant level. Next run engine for 20 minutes and feel upper rad hose, should be HOT. If not, change thermostat & recheck. (coil spring end towards eng, no spring end towards rad) Next feel heater hoses. If one is cold and the other hot, heater core is plugged. Try flushing it out. If that don't work, replace it. Lastly, check door operation. Hope this helps, Jim
