new gas tanks
So I just picked up my gas tanks. The question is, do I paint them? They look bare steel, but with an oily coating. Not sure what type of metal they are made of. Same question for my new ball joints. Should you paint all items like this, another one is the tank bands. Just not sure

i would paint them with any kind of rust protection paint or if you gots money powdercoat them....

i cleaned mine with brake kleen and bed lined it with a can of rattle can bed liner.... protected for dents dings holes and rust with one stone or bottle lol

the ball joints i dont touch i did put rubber undercoat on my gas tanks and the new straps
