rock deflector 1957 cab corner
I have been working on my truck to remove the rusted sections, and I have been trying to figure out how the rock deflectors mount on the bottom of the corner patch panels. From what I understand, the deflectors are stock to the Cameo trucks, but I have not been able find this information. If someone could tell me how, or post a picture, I would appreciate this immensely.

Were these only on Cameo's? If so, then I'm a lucky man, because they are on mine too!!!

Re: rock deflector 1957 cab corner
Here's the only pics I have of mine. I actually took them off to clean them up and have not re-installed them yet.

Re: rock deflector 1957 cab corner
I have been told the deflectors were installed to help protect the fiberglass panels. If I had known, at the time I bought all of my body panels, that the deflectors were not factory to my truck, I would not have bothered to buy them. Thanks for the pictures ChuckDriver.

My 57 has them on them. Not sure if they were additions but, they were screwed on with clutch drive screws.

Re: rock deflector 1957 cab corner
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure about the mounting of the deflector because only two of the three holes line up with sheet metal. Could just be the after market cab corner I bought. The original cab corner was completely rusted out on the bottom three or four inches, so no help there. Bill

Re: rock deflector 1957 cab corner
I do know all Cameo's were big window cabs. Maybe someone with a real Cameo or better knowledge of them can confirm if these were only on Cameo's!!
