Talking Just picked me up a 2wd Blazer!

I just picked me up a Blazer today. Bought it from a super nice guy about an hour from me. 1982 Blazer with 75k miles on the body, mildly built 350, 700r4, white with blue interior, power windows/locks, newer front grill. Super clean rust free truck! Can't wait to start working on it. I've already put the new tailights on it he gave me with the truck. Just gonna tinker with a few things on it, drop just a lil more and throw some wheels on it and ride. Nice old school cruiser..

I have since removed the lights that are on the rear bumper

I'm gonna clean her up in the next few days and post some updated pics!

Thanks guys! I will take lots of pics. It has spindles and I think de arched leaf springs out back. Seems to ride ok. I may be bagging it or putting a drop spring and flip kit to finish it off. Well see

Wow. That thing is ready to go in and out. An altitude adjustment and wheels/tires is all that thing needs. That truck is nice!

Re: Just picked me up a 2wd Blazer!

Thanks again guys! All my friends are having a fit over it..

Talking to my guy now about tires, looks like im going with the new Toyo Proxes ST II's
255/40/20 up front and
295/45/20 out back

Super nice tires, I had the older versions of the tire on my old '83..loved that
setup figured I would do it again. Here is the setup on my old '83

And of course im going with the polished Coys this time so...

I'm glad you posted that picture, I'm about to order tires and those exactly what I was looking at. I wasnt sure if the 295/45 would be too tall for the front tires. Do you have any more pictures of that truck? Thanks

Wow! Very clean Blazer! You are one of those guys who makes me wish I had bought a Blazer instead of my SWB. Nice truck indeed!!!

Re: Just picked me up a 2wd Blazer!

Ha yeah! Since your not selling your truck yet had to get me a Blazer. And this one happen to be white I like white for some reason. I'm going to change the gear drive the other guy put on it instead of a timing chain. The roaring super charger sound is cool and all but a little loud for my taste. Oh and the exhaust.

Re: Just picked me up a 2wd Blazer!

had a chance to pick up a 2wd blazer before i bought my truck. it had too many strikes against it...rust, dents, inline 6/4 speed, but i really liked the removable top! that would have almost made all the work the blazer needed worth it.

Re: Just picked me up a 2wd Blazer!

The option to throw the whole family in and go cruise. The fact that you still have the power of the truck, a little more weight to put down some traction, the opportunity to have a convertible, being a little different than a truck. Yadda Yadda Yadda. Man I really should have a Blazer.
