Re: "Im new at this whole thing"
If you're gonna have the intake off already it's not that much more work to throw in a cam....Just sayin.

And it's pretty easy to mess up a new cam if it's not broken in properly assuming it's not a roller cam in the crate motor. And then metal shavings could ruin the rest of the engine. I don't know how much experience he has with this type of thing but it will be more work. Last edited by highperf4x4; 03-04-2010 at 11:07 PM. |

Re: "Im new at this whole thing"
I wonder how my 33's will look and rub with no lift, I took the camper shell of today and all the little hooks on every in of it, and the mexican wiring here and there. I turned the key it fired right up went for a drive picked up some friends and cruised the town and got some tipped hats, time for some cali plates

Re: "Im new at this whole thing"
You mean wiring like this? This truck spent plenty of time in Juarez, Mexico. I found pesos all over the cab.
No offense here!

Re: "Im new at this whole thing"
Yeah I didn't think about the 4x4 setup. Might be a different situation.

Re: "Im new at this whole thing"
nice truck.. if you go with an 8 inch rim 33`will fit without the lift, you go with a 10 inch rim with 33`s you will need a lift.. just so you know..
i`d try craigslist, offer a trade with 35 for the 33`s... good luck

Re: "Im new at this whole thing"
Looks like you took my advice and picked up a cam to throw in. What kind of grind did you get? I have a comp cams xe268 in mine and I think its a good choice. It has a lope to the idle and still has good torque off the bottom.

Re: "Im new at this whole thing"
Thank you, I think the plan now is to install all my parts and then headers and dual fans and radiator, after that I think roll bar and seat belts and interior that should be enough to keep me bussy for a while!
