Exclamation lower A-arm interchange

I need a set of 3/4-ton lower A-arms for my C2500 disc brake swap but there are no C20 or C30 trucks in the wrecking yard around here at the moment.

There are a few G30 vans that share the lower ball joint with the C20 & C30 but the interchange book says the A-arms are different.

Anybody know what is different about the van lower A-arms that make the interchange book say they won't work on a truck?

If there were any 2-wd trucks in the wrecking yard I would tear some off a van and see if they fit the truck but there are none to be found at the moment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: lower A-arm interchange

I believe the van stuff uses a rubber bushings. Where the 3/4 ton trucks use a threaded steel insert bushing

That would be OK as this is going on a 67 C-10.

I will take a trip to the yard today and see if they have anything new that isn't on the web site yet. Maybe I will get lucky and find the C20 parts I know will work.

If they have a C10 I will see how the van part looks / fits on it.
