rearend...
Ok I have a 66 c10. With a 283, 3 on the tree. And what I would like to do use my rearend out of a 96 silverado with a 308 gear in it. Also put 6 lug axles and drums out of a 4x4 of the same. Can it happen??

Re: rearend...
I believe it is about 3 inches wider at the hub faces at least on the 4x4s

Re: rearend...
The '88 and newer rear ends are a good 3" wider on the 2wd's as well. I would either look for a '87 and earlier rear end, or just put 3.08 gears in your current 12 bolt. You could also bolt on a set of the wider rear brakes from a '75-'80 or so 4x4.
