I haven't done much to it. Just mocked up the gauge panel and put the new steering wheel on.

I thought I wouldn't be able to do much to the truck for awhile longer but it looks like that might change. Have to see how some things work out..

I just want to drive the thing. It's been to long

Tell me about it.. I am glad I am not alone. I should be turning my ride on next week, so that is nice. But I now I have to figure out the 2-piece with the dropmember and exhaust and I am back on the road!!

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.

I aired up the 63 for the first time in like 6 months and got it up on jack stands.

Tried to install the new chrome diff cover but the bolts that came with it were about 1/8" to long. Didnt figure that out till i tried to tighten down the first bolt. You guessed it.. SNAP! I didnt think I was turning it hard enough to break it. Oh well I should be used to it by now. It's one step forward two steps back with this truck..

Going to try my luck with a easy out or reverse drill bit to get the bolt out. I have never done it before we'll see what happends.

I also got the hood off in preparation to start installing my porterbuilt 60-66 hood hinges.

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.

If you haven't used those tools before. heres one tip. Get the center of the told and use a center punch on it. If it still wont come out. Start to just drill the bolt out, going bigger each time till your just about to touch the treads, and chase it with a tap. That's what we do at work if we cant get it another way.

I will take some pics for you.. Yea the truck is almost there.. Its been just sitting in the garage waiting for me to finish it up.. I hardly ever work on it cause I have a heart condition.. I get tired easily.. I had to take a 5 min break after jacking the car up cause I felt like I ran the 100 yard dash.. So its kind of a major chore to work on it..

Re: Bazooka's 63 build thread.

If the easy out breaks off in the told I think you can drill a hole in the center and use a esay out.
