Aftermarket Cats
There aren't a whole lot of "performance" cats out there, but what has your experience been with them? This question is mostly aimed at Mike, but more than one opinion is better.

I run a Random Technology Super High Flow cat. According to what I've read about cats, it's supposed to be the highest flowing cat made. Mine is 3" in/out.
But, be prepared for sticker shock. I paid over $200.00 for mine. Of course this goes back to my old saying, "you get what you pay for". Everyone keeps bringing up the Catgo cats when a question like this is asked. First thing they say, as gchemist did, they are cheap. I prefer not to cheap out on stuff like this myself. Cheap doesn't mean it's the best, you know? Just means it's cheap, as in cheap made.

Hey Tyler, CarSound is the best for the money. It flows just as good as a Random Tech, and it's MUCH cheaper. Trust me Tyler, go to Quiet Masters on 9th in Modesto.

I get a bad feeling when someone tells me, it's just as good, BUT, much cheaper. Believe me, if it's JUST as good, it won't be MUCH cheaper. Been there, done that.

Mike is correct. The Catgo is fairly cheap. Due to a stuck throttle once and a back fire at the same time the cat didn't last over a month. Hollowed it without trying. Heck it makes the Flowmater sound even better!! Once I redo my exhaust I'm replacing it with something better.
