What is this bumper off of?

I bought this bumper years ago at a swap meet. It was and has been wrappedup in cardboard with 63-66 chevy pickup front written on it. So I unwrapped it last week and went to bolt it on only to find out that the holes don't line up. In fact they aren't even close. The 2 outside holes for the braces do line up but the 4 holes for the frame are off by about 9 inches. Otherwise the bumper looks and fits perfect. Does anyone have any idea what this could be meant for? I would love to know so that I can try to sell it (kinda hard to do not knowing what vehicle it fits!).

Thanks,

Derek

I'm thinking possibly the rear bumper for a Suburban/ Panel. Can you get a measurement from center to center of the middle set of holes?

Here's a thread related to the panel/suburban rear bumper. If it turns out that's what you have, it could be a very rare and desirable part.

Re: What is this bumper off of?

here is my best guess:
the red panel is a 60... the 60-62 had the wider X frame, this looks exactly like your bumper.
the blue is a 64-66, the holes look closer together, and there is the little divot even farther inboard where a front bumper hole would have been punched.

...so I say you have a 60-62 sub/panel rear bumper-chrome, and probably $$$ to the right person!

The holes are 44-1/2" apart center-to-center.

I think you guys might be on to something!

That has to be for the '60-'62 Suburban/Panel. The '63-'66's measure 32"

Re: What is this bumper off of?

I agree with CaptianFab it is probably for a Suburban. I had a hard time finding one for my '66 burb.
