LMC interior parts

I have been disappointed with LMC and normally stay away but they have some door panel parts that I can't seem find elsewhere. I'm hoping to find feedback or a possible different source on the following parts: replacement door panel pockets, replacement cloth door panel inserts and the door panel trim without door strap. All parts are for the factory door panels.

Re: LMC interior parts

there stuff is ok, i am almost sure that all thier door trim peices are made strictly for "their" reproduction panels, they wont fit stock ones, i think the door panel pockets might work though.

Believe it or not their catalog says the above parts are for factory door panels, kinda suprised me.

Re: LMC interior parts

I used the LMC door trim panels, then stuck my original trim and handle bezels back in them.

Seemed to turn out ok, and dress the door panels up a bit.

Re: LMC interior parts

How's the quality of the interior door panels? And is the black color a gloss or satin finish?

Re: LMC interior parts

If their replacement interior door panels will look better/better alternative than painting my existing original panels, then I guess I'll cough up the $$$.

If anyone has any experience with LMC replacement door panels (good and bad), I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks everyone.

Re: LMC interior parts

Check with Henry at Cheyenne Parts in Oklahoma. He may have some NOS trim parts for various years. I just picked up some NOS trim for the 78-80 door panels from him.

truckandcarparts.com has some NOS door panels listed in their online catalog. Classicparts.com has some NOS trim for the cheyenne panels, if I recall.

Really depends upon the year(s) you are looking for.

Thanks. I need door panels for 81-87 years. I have been very loyal to Classic Parts of America as they sell mostly NOS/OEM parts. I purchased the majority of my suspension parts from CPA (lowering and regular parts) and have been 100 percent satisfied. And they have great technical advisors and free shipping with $300 in purchases.

Re: LMC interior parts

All their door panels are from PALCO industries LMC does not make them we sell the same stuff cause they are the only ones making them. Some fit great and some don't. same part same side etc.

Re: LMC interior parts

I bought some NOS door panels from CPA for my truck with manual windows. I am going to paint them blue as they are both black presently. They had NOS panels for electric windows also.

Unfortunately CPA doesn't have NOS panels for my 1986 swb. They only have replacement panels but these do not accept original moldings per vol. 11 catalog, page 23. However, the LMC replacement panels do (CC.57, page 117).

In any case, I'll just give Brad a call at CPA later in the week to qualify things.

Thanks.

Fwiw I have an 86 swb also and I bought my NOS panels from CPA only couple months ago and they showed both styles (power and non-power) still available. They even shipped me 2 of same side door panels (right side think) and had to send me another left hand side and pick up the other right side.
In my catalog they are on page 23 maybe look again closer.
It says OEM instead of NOS but I assure you they are in fact NOS.

They were in G.M. boxes and had G.M. PN#'s. I haven't even installed them yet and they are really nice.

Re: LMC interior parts

You are correct. My bad. I guess I was looking at the photo below and I failed to read the door copy listed above. They are OEM panels at $250/pair.

In any case, I ordered the replacement panels from LMC earlier this morning so now I hope I didn't make a purchasing mistake. The "order taker" guy on the phone was so clueless about the truck parts and their application. It was a frustrating experience. Unlike my experience with Summit Racing and Classic Parts of America which was stellar.

Thanks again for the qualification.

But i lucked out, the woman that took my last order knew what i was taking about. It helps when the other person knows the product.

If they are anything like Keith's door panels up ^ above then they will look fine.

Re: LMC interior parts

FYI -- I spoke with Brad over at CPA this morning. They have NOS door panels for my 86 swb (full power) but it only comes in a gray color. If it were black, I'd consider purchasing the panels then return the reproductions back to LMC.

Re: LMC interior parts

Ya know funny thing is if I remember correctly, they also told me it was a different color than what I received. I think they told me grey or blue don't remember but got black. I plan on painting them blue with some color matched PPG interior paint.

Re: LMC interior parts

Too funny. Brad at CPA would usually pull the part for me to double check on the part's condition, etc. I'm sure he would have checked the color for me but I didn't ask him. Plus, he was super slammed today in the warehouse. I guess it wasn't meant to be for me. We'll see how I feel once the LMC repos arrive.

I believe I talked to Brad also but anyway I waited on phone while he called a guy at the warehouse to check color. It kinda looks blue in pic I guess and maybe they thought it was I dunno.
