bought some new stuff for my baby

i desided today was the day to spend more money.. say as last weekend and week. so today i bought a new front clip for my blazer. i had a 1970 grill on my blazer but desided to go with the 1972.. because my blazer is a 72 and they look better. IMO. so with changing over the grill i had to buy a new bumper, turn lights, hood latch,, ect. i also picked up some LED tail lights..shaweet. i picked up some kick panel molded speaker things for my boston speakers and a new heater controls. they didnt have the grill emblem or the turn signals so i have to wait for them. im pretty pump to get it installed and my new 35-12.50-18R open country tires. its gonna change the look of my rig. next is a new tilt steering column, wheel and rag joint. then im going tto redo my brakes. dont worry.... its only money.

i got everything at scotts super trucks.. alberta canada. i paid 475 for the outer and 120 for the inner. the outer is chrome instead of aluminum.. looks why better and its cheaper. the chrome one comes with the light bezel and the aluminum dont. im pretty excited to get the trashy black 1970 one off and the new shiny 72 on. i'll snap a pic of it when its done. till then heres what i had on there.

Nice! What size tires are on it now? How much lift? Where did you get the LED tails? How much for the tails? I've got $5K burning a hole in my pocket to get started on my Jimmy!

33-12.50-18r with a 6inch lift. the tires are a little to small for a 6in lift. i bought the tail lights here in canada, but im sure you can get them at lmc trucks or another place. they cost me 90 bucks i believe. they look pretty sweet.. i went to the place with 2000 and came back with 200.. so i figure i did good. lol

dont worry i'll spend the 200 balancing the tires tomorrow morning. and another 1700 putting a eaton posi, 4.56 gears and rebuilding the axles in about a week. then its just the little things i have left like the interior, steering column, steering wheel, stereo and custom soft top... opps soft tops not a little thing.. 2500 bones. i'll post a few pics when i get the tires on it tomorrow and take it out for its first good run in over a year of sitting and getting overhauled,.

Re: bought some new stuff for my baby

I thought the black grill looked pretty cool, but it does look better with the shiny new one.
Nice!
