Tulsa Time
I havent had time to work on Storytime but I figured I would give an update on the racing season . The first race of the year was when the Big Blue Truck ran 151 on the 10.90 index in Belle Rose La . Unfortunatly I lost second round by .0001 at 150 thats less than an inch . The next race was at the Texas Motorplex I won 1st rd with a .001 light against a .009 but my fuel press reg gave up and I lost 2nd round by .01 when I was .008 on the tree versus a .071 .......ugggghh........ Anyhow this coming weekend May 13th through the 16th I will be in Tulsa Ok for the first time . We lost Memphis Tn and picked up Tulsa . I sent my regulator and an old fuel pump to Barry Grant for a rebuild . They should be back on the 11th (my 44th B-day) and I can go racing . Any members in the area ....come see me !.......The last four rounds of competition my lights have been .030 .005 .001 .008 ......On a National event tree which for some stupid reason is .470

Re: Tulsa Time
Regan, do you have any picts of the layout inside your truck. I mean I know you have a delay box / throttle stop timers, Co2 bottle, and probably a RPM switch mounted somewhere in there. I've seem some pretty sharp layouts in S/ST cars with the delay box handy for quick changes. Anything you care to share?

Re: Tulsa Time
...... and BTW,, what the hell do you suppose NHRA was thinking with this .47 tree! Just to throw some new variable in the mix. I know there are hot-dawgs that are deadly consistant double 'O' leavers. But no one in Dot90 racing takes blind shots at Autostart that I know of! What do you suppose they think they accomplished????

J/k, i've been gone over a year. sure the wife won't appreciate me running off to another state after being home a couple of days . Re: Tulsa Time
We just got back from Houston where I got down to four cars , I almost made the finals 2 yrs in a row there . After 3 races I'm tied for third in points (two tied for first , one in second and me and one of my buds tied after that)
Anyway .....next week June 25th to the 27th we will finally be in Tulsa ... Also the truck has run 150 plus at Belle Rose, Ennis, and Houston in crappy air , I'm pretty pleased with the new combo .

Re: Tulsa Time
Good to hear your truck is running strong. 150 in a steel pickup must be a rush!
Good luck this weekend in Tulsa!

Re: Tulsa Time
I've been meaning to post what happened , if I had won I probabaly would have done it sooner lol.... It was hot and nasty all my buddies were down 4 to 5 mph and had to make big adjustments to run the index . My generator kept dying and after the second time trial on Friday I had a flat and had to buy a new set of slicks ! When it came time to run first round Sunday morning it started raining on the way to the lanes and we were delayed for an hour or two . When I finally got to run first round my opponents car wouldnt start and I got a competition bye run and went 10.900 , which was kinda a fluke since I was lost all weekend but that gave me a bye run second round (talk about luck). Then it rained , they dried the track , and then it rained .So at 9oclock Sunday night they decided to run Monday morning . Ok so now I'm stuck in Oklahoma on Sunday and I ran out of Texas beer on Saturday .......(not happy) I finally got to run third round at 10oclock monday going into that round I was second in division points and running the points leader so it was an important round . Well he was .012 to my.017 on the tree and I took a .01 of stripe and lost on a double breakout . One of my buddies took him out next round . Another one of our bunch runnered up and passed me in points . I left there third in points (less than 4 rounds out of first) and tied for first in Jegs Allstar points . I did meet a couple members correct me if Im wrong but I believe one was 70Shortwide .
