No reverse lights.

Ok, so the title says it, i dont have any reverse lights. So i hooked the neutral saftey switch back up, and checked it, nothing. i then checked it with a test light and still nothing in the socket. What could it be? theres another empty prong at the end of the column by the safety switch. what is it!? thanks lol, Cole

Re: No reverse lights.

I'd know on my '74 if the shifter wasn't just right the reverse lights wouldn't be on, try it one night in the dark to see try wiggling it up or down. I "think" if that's the issue it's just an adjustment. As far as the empty prong, do yu have any picture of it, what color wire(s) are going to it?

My 75 is in the same boat....however I have several unused contacts/prongs exposed on the neutral safety switch (on the passenger side of the column)and for the life of me can't find the plug that should go on them. My neutral safety switch works...well, kind of will only start in park, not neutral. Have tried wiggling the gear selector lever to activate the lights, and to induce the starter to engage in some other place besides park to no avail. I think the PO must have found the plug that I am missing and simply cut it off and trashed it...LOL! I cant even find any cut wires!
