1967 C-10 LWB stepside Transmission ?
The truck has a 3 on the tree,6-cyl in it. It started to jump out of third gear about a year ago.I use to be able to hold in 3rd gear but it kicks out hard now.
I bought a tranny out of a 1978,it had a 6-cyl-3 on the tree also.I thank the tranny is stamped GM-30 wil it work on my 67?How about the linkage,is it the same as a 78? |

In 67/68 the 3 speed tranny was different than in 69-72 and later. Measure the lenght of the tranny and count te bolts on the shift fork cover plate. If they are the lame lenght and bolt count it'll work with no changes. Otherwise you are looking at changing driveshaft length and shift lever arms too.
