Re: '72 Suburban
Just some updated pics from an early morning wash.
Heading out in it with the wife for a day of running errands. If the weather holds, we'll hit the local cruise spot with the pups in tow, too. ![]()

Re: '72 Suburban
Thanks, Geoff. I really like this truck - much more than I expected. I met 2 other old GM pickup owners today, too. One guy at Southern States had his dad's '68 Fleetside and a guy at the gas station who had a '72 Cheyenne, '71 base pickup (?) and a '68 4wd GMC, I think.
Had a good day running errands - had to stop more than expected to talk with people about the truck ![]() ![]()

Re: '72 Suburban
That is just a beautiful truck! Thanks for sharing more pictures. I am glad to see you are racking up the miles and using it like it was intended.

Re: '72 Suburban
Hey Wayne, the Burb is looking great. Glad to hear you are driving her a lot, I had a feeling you would. If I knew you would have liked it this much I would have asked for more money
![]() I am really happy that you are enjoying the ride so much. Still want a picture of the dogs in the back of the Burb. Nice plates by the way. |

Thanks. I had to buy something that was in good shape and a reliable driver. I already have 2 other project cars that barely get enough of my time. I didn't want something else disassembled in my garage ![]() Quote:
![]() It's been a great truck. Not another one in this area like it, which is another bonus. Quote:
They love the truck. Perfect dog hauler. I don't have a picture of them in it, but how about a pic of the plates with Moose?

I'm trying to get some other projects knocked out with my Camaro and Corvette, so I'm just driving the Suburban. It's been a parts hauler, flower hauler, dog hauler and grocery getter. If the AC worked, I would have driven it to Florida last week ![]() I'm going to have a mild LT1 out of a '97 Camaro and a built 4L60E just collecting dust in the garage later this year (they're currently in my '69 Camaro). That would be a great retrofit project in the '72. ![]()

Re: '72 Suburban
Been a while, but wanted to update this thread. I've been driving the hell out of the Burb. Even got caught in a freak dusting that left me stranded on the side of the road - had to ride my ATV home.
![]() ![]() Anyway, I had a little accident with the truck in my driveway. I usually keep the truck in my barn, but snow hit when I was away and the truck was stuck outside in my driveway. I was backing up my ATV, thought I had shifted to D and accidentally backed into the Suburban. ![]() ![]() I felt like an asshole when it happened. Called up my detailer, he said he could fix it. Dropped it off yesterday, 8hrs and $225 later... ... the repair turned out great. There's a small scratch and a wave in the panel, but it's not like it was arrow straight to start ![]() And here are some other pics I took at the same time (sorry for the **** quality, my good camera battery is dead).
