No spark?

I have had some electrical issues. First I had a dead truck. My starter connections were loose, tightened them and I get lights and she turns over again. Now no spark, is there a wire from the starter that goes to the distributor? Could I have loosened it? Or could I have blown something?

thanks

Re: No spark?

When I had that problem, it was a dead ignition module in the HEI.

Re: No spark?

One of my most common problems with "no spark" issues was the coil button in the cap of the distributer.

Re: No spark?

If you have a points distributor, yes there is/was a yellowish wire with fabric looking insulation that goes to the solenoid. It connects to the small terminal that the purple wire doesn't go to (forgot the letter).

Re: No spark?

i had this on my 69 chevelle w/hei . turns out the wire leading to the fusebox had backed out a little bit. i pushed it in to force contact while my wife cranked it over. fired right up. double check your wiring and connections before you mess with with coils and modules ect...
