Re: The Custom Corner (60 to 66)

The body is in black hot rod primer, We put them all in primer till it has a buyer, then the customer can decide colors, As for the doghouse...We like the open roadster look with a custom grill shell, gives it more of a vintage look, We do have a design that incorporates the factory hood and grill shell(chopped and sectioned) But there again..We leave it up to the customer as to what they prefer. Thanks again for all the great feedback. It helps keep us on our toes. Jim Hall

Re: The Custom Corner (60 to 66)

man i like the idea, but i dont get why you narrowed it, the open wheel/rear fender lips dont look right to me - shoulda kept it wide and tucked the wheels IMO - but the use of the back cab panel was a great idea taking it all the way back. But should roll panned the bottom if your not gonna run a bumper.

Leaving the front open is a bad idea - there is nothing 'vintage' or roadster looking about it - the front rails/suspension/steering box all scream 'put fenders and a grill on me please!!'

certainly creative, and nice fab skils though!

Re: The Custom Corner (60 to 66)

sorta reminds me of this unfinished - but notice frame rails and suspension on this even needed fender/hood to work

Re: The Custom Corner (60 to 66)

I want to thank everyone on here for their words of encouragement, compliments, etc. We strive to build things that are outside the box so to speak. We know there not perfect, nor are they complete as much as we want them to be. We build on a budget and that usually dictates how far we can go. But I know its better to try and see how far we can go than to not try at all. Thanks again, We`ll keep you posted on the next build.
